Cloud migration decisions should begin with workload requirements rather than a provider logo. Inventory applications and dependencies, classify data, establish recovery objectives, measure current performance, and define security and compliance needs. From there, compare architecture options, migration effort and operating costs. Some workloads fit public cloud well; others may be better suited to hybrid or dedicated infrastructure. The goal is a supportable architecture that matches the business requirement.
